The Grand Preview of Aknjathayuda Amarakkaran

 

The Grand preview was held on March 26, 2012 at Kalabhavan Theater, Thiruvananthapuram and was inaugurated by National Award winner Aryadan Shaukath and expert opinions were given by Pramod Pyyannur


Aryadan Shaukath - His first film in 2003, Patham Onn: Oru Vilapam, was an indictment of Muslim orthodoxy on girls' education.  It won 15 awards, including the National Film Award for Family Welfare and the Best Asian Film Award at the Madrid Festival. Meera Jasmine played the lead role 15-year-old Muslim girl who was forced to marry an older man, for which she was awarded a State Award and the National Award.His latest film Vilapangalkkappuram. The film is based on the aftermath of the Gujarat riots of 2002. The film won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Film in 2008. Also, Priyanka won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in this film.


Pramod Pyyannur - Pramod has bagged awards for almost every attempt he has made. His first documentary, `Sasneham Jeevithatthodu' got him State Government's Child Welfare Board Award   ( 2002). `Devamanasam' for Kairali T.V. won him Kerala Chalachithra Academy Award for the Best Mini Screen Directior (2003). `Thankam' got the Film Critics Award (2004) and Chethana Vibgyor Award at a national level competition (2005) for the best Short Fiction.
